Malam Shehu Ibrahim mni, was born in 1964 at Zaria, Kaduna State and hails from Madobi Town in Dutse Logal Government Area of Jigawa Sate.

He attended Islamiya Primary School in Jos, Plateau State from 1970 – 1977 and Government College Keffi, Nasarawa State from 1977 to 1982 for his Secondary School Education.

He proceeded to Bayero University, Kano where he obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science in 1987. He later served the National Youth Service in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. He also obtained a Masters’ Degree in International Relations from the University of Abuja in 1998.

Malam Shehu joined the Federal Civil Service in 1989 on Grade Level 08 and rose through the ranks to become a Director, GL 17 in January, 2020. During the course of his career, he served in various Ministries, Departments and Agencies including Ministry of Federal Capital Territory, Office of the Head of Civil Service of the Federation, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN) and the Federal Ministry of Petroleum Resources.

He attended several developmental courses and trainings within and outside Nigeria in Institutions such as the Administrative Staff College of Nigeria (ASCON), Badagry, Lagos, Centre for Management Development, Kano,  Kaduna Business School, Kaduna, Senior Executive Course 34 at the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies, Kuru, Jos, Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University, United State of America, International Centre for Entrepreneurship Development, Gujarat, India, and Acadia Centre for Small Business Institute, Canada among others.

He is a member of the Nigeria Institute of Management, Association of National Institute, Kuru (mni) and a recipient of Award for Excellent Achievements from the Amalgamated Union of Public Corporations, Civil Service Technical and Recreational Services Employees (Petroleum and Gas Branch), the Award on Commitment to work during the Covid-19 Pandemic Lockdown in Commemoration of the African Public Service Day Celebration, Award from Nigerian Civil Service Union (SMEDAN Branch)

Malam Shehu Ibrahim was appointed a Federal Permanent Secretary by the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in April, 2022 and was posted to Political and Economic Affairs Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (OSGF).  Subsequently, he was re-deployed to the Ecological Project Office (EPO) in October 2022.

His hobbies include: Outdoor Games, Reading and Community Service.
